This is the place to find the rules for the FIFA 2018 Pool play.
Become part of the pool
Subscription for the pool is easy. All you have to do is think of a login name and a valid email address. If you lost your password, you can generate a new one. Please use login names that are similar to your real name, it makes it more fun when presenting the top lists.
Also, please fill in your real name as well when asked, we need that in order to keep track of the actual players behind the alias
Predicting the matches
Predict the end score of all the matches in the tournament/competition. You have until 60 minutes before the start of the FIFA 2018 tournament to add or change your prediction.
The server time is used. No discussion about that, so be on time if you want to fill in your scores. The countdown on the front page show the time remaining to the start of the tournament, NOT the prediction deadline
When filling in the prediction sheet, the names of the teams in the round of 16 and finals will change according to your prediction of the group play. Also note that all the results are the final results, so the finals can never be tied.
When it comes to penalty shoot-outs, the winner of the shoot-out will be awarded one (1) goal, not the actual goals made during the shoot-out. This goal will be added on top of the goals made during match play. (Example: Spain ties France in the quarter-finals with a 2-2 score. Spain then wins the penalty shoot-out with 5 goals to 4. These goals don’t Count, but instead one goal will be added to the game score, making the final result 3-2 for Spain.)
The bonus questions
You can earn extra points during the tournament with the bonus questions. These questions must be answered before the tournament deadline as well (60 minutes before start). Each question shows the points you can earn.
The scoring
In the group phase the scores at the end of the game are used for the calculation of the scores. For final rounds the score at the end of the game including extra time is used. Goals in a penalty shoot-out are not taken into consideration, but the winner of the shoot-out will be credited one (1) extra goal.
You get points for predicting the correct winner of the match or prediction of a draw. We call this the toto score. If you got the goals correct you get the extra goal bonus 2 for each team predicted correctly, even if you didn’t get the match result correct (e.g. match ends in 1-1 and you predicted 0-1 you will still get 2 points).
A maximum of 6 points is available for each match.

If you want to view the ranking, then go to the ranking page and pick the correct league. If you’re logged in, then the league for which you subscribed, is automatically picked.
Same ranking?
When multiple players have the exact same amount of points, then the following sorting rules are applied on the ranking (most important one at the top):
- amount of goal scores;
- amount of toto scores;
- amount of correct bonus questions.
